The 19-year-old actress recently joined a few other celebrities like Justin Bieber for the World Wish Day’s PSA.
“I don’t think I’ve ever forgotten one of these kids,” Miley shares. “The way they make you feel…you’re doing something for them but the way that they’re so thankful and the way you’ve touched their lives, it means so much. It makes you want to keep doing it and keep meeting more kids.”
Miley adds, “It doesn’t take long but it changes everything that they feel and everything they’ve been going through. It really does help them get better.”

The original series included big-name stars being fooled and set up for trouble. It had been hosted by Ashton Kutcher from 2003 airing through 2007. By the end of each prank, Kutcher would surprise the stars exclaiming, “You just got Punk’D!” letting them in on the tricks played on them.

Liam Hemsworth gushes about his relationship with Miley Cyrus in the March cover story of Details.
The Hunger Games star, 22, recalls the first time he mentioned his future love to his older brother Chris, himself a well-known actor (Thor).
“I just had an audition with Miley Cyrus!” Liam told his more experienced brother after trying out for The Last Song in 2009. “How funny is that?”
Hemsworth went on to win not only the part, but the heart of his leading lady in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation.
“What happened happened, and we’ve been together two and a half years,” Hemsworth says. “She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you’re filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you’re not human if you don’t feel something.”
After the teen-targeted romantic drama wrapped, Hemsworth accompanied Cyrus and the rest of her celebrity family to their Nashville home. The Australian actor says he’s since gotten to know the tight-knit Cyrus family quite well.
[Billy Ray] is very spiritual,” Hemsworth says. “He’s just one of the nicest guys. Very accommodating. I’ve listened to his music since we got together. It’s awesome.”
As for the marijuana controversy at Cyrus’ 19th birthday party last fall (when the singer-actress was caught on video saying, “You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a ‘Bob Miley’ cake — you know you smoke way too much f***in’ weed”) Hemsworth is livid that the video went public.
“She’s in a room full of her best friends,” the actor says. “And you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can’t have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It’s ridiculous.”

“Etta James was a great influence to both me and Miley,” her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, told me at the Grammys. “We used to jam to Etta quite frequently going back and forth to the [Hannah Montana] set.
“Then one day we called her, and Miley and her really struck up a friendship,” he continued. “It was something special.”
The “At Last” singer died last month at age 73.
Meanwhile, daddy Cyrus says he doesn’t let his daughter’s critics bother him. “You just got to focus on the things you know to be true,” he said. “There’s a great line in the Book of Psalms that says, ‘The truth will be my shield and my buckle.’ There’s a lot of power in those words.”
